In 1993, we – Ivo and Ilona Slavik, founded a knitting company SLAVIK DESIGN. In first years, we produced pullovers on hand knitting machines in our family house. The interest in our products was huge, so we could buy the first industrial knitting machine UNIVERSAL in 1998. Step by step, our machinery grew and we bought new machines SHIMA SEIKI and thanks to these technologies, we were able to expand abroad.
In 2002 we moved our company from our family house to our new premises in Bakov nad Jizerou. In those years, we produced mostly for customers from Germany, Ireland and Great Britain. This was how CANARINO brand was established on the market, that expanded mostly in Germany and Czech Republic. Since 2008, we have been specializing in 100% wool knitted garments for British companies. That is why you can find Made in Czech Republic label on most of British pullovers, scarves and caps. This cooperation was a great experience for us because Britain ranks among the best in processing 100% wool. Unfortunately, woolen pullovers appear very rarely in our market. And so we decided to offer genuine woolen pullovers that look like those that our grandmothers used to make by hand. So, our brand CHRISTORY came to exist.
And this is all about our history. And this is where our shared future starts. In 2018, we are moving to our new big premises in Buda.
